London

While I was in London in 2018 I saw a few things. One of my highlights of London was London zoo. I love animals and I especially love zoos who are working to change peoples perspective of zoos. Yes there are still zoos who are exploiting animals and I will never visit one of those but many zoos in first world countries are trying to fight extinction by educating the public, which is exacting what I love. My funniest moment at the zoo was when my friends and I walked into this massive aviary and it’s filled with bin chickens! Okay if you aren’t Australian you will know them by there proper name, the Ibis. We have these birds everywhere in Australia and they just eat the rubbish out the bins and annoy everyone. So just imagine our faces when we saw these in an aviary, we could not stop laughing. I highly recommend this for a day out. A little tip, buy your tickets online you will save 10%.

Another of my favourite things we did there was to visit the local markets. I love to get into countries cultures, and the easiest way to do that is to try the street food and go to their local markets. Small cafes (or coffee shops) are another good way to try some local cuisine. We found a cute cafe in Buckingham where my peanut butter toast cost me 1pound 40. My friends who froth avocado (one craze I can not get into! I just hate avocado, it’s like eating slimly grass) had their toast with it on. Guess how much it came to! No seriously guess! 3pound 50! That’s like $7aud, and for that in Australia, you pay $20+. How crazy and it wasn’t just one avocado they got on 1 piece of toast the got two avocados on two pieces of toast! So look around for cute local cafes they will surprise you.

One of the things I didn’t get to do in London was to walk on Tower Bridge. Next time I go back I will make sure I have time to walk along the bridge and take some nice photos. The only photo I have of it is with my finger in the bottom. Don’t even ask how I managed to take a bad picture, I’m 21 I should be hip with all this technology and not like a grandma!
